Eric and I took a much needed vacation to Vail, CO this past weekend. I cannot even tell you how nice it was to get away with our dog and have a worry-free trip. We've been going through a lot of trials and trying to plan a vacation to Cali during the midst of it all. Unfortunately, or fortunately in hindsight, the trip didn't pan out and we made an impromptu decision to head up to Colorado's mountains. We did a 4 night, 4 day activity-packed trip that reminded us of our honeymoon... two and a half years ago!

Ella is a good dog... but this is the SECOND pair of my flip flops she has torn up like one of her chew toys. The first pair she tore up weeks before. I thought we had scolded and scared her up enough that she wouldn't do it again... But lo and behold Eric and I came home from a fun concert night to see my brand new replacement flip flops demolished.
My theory is that she gets mad at me when I'm gone for too long (all day). Scoff and ridicule that theory as you will, but I'm the one who knows and lives with her and that's what I truly believe.
Any-who, Ella was pretty depressed from us yelling at her that we just had to do something fun right?! So we took her to Vail with us. We're so good to her :)

mager that is just too funny... our cat actually did the same thing to one of drews flip flops last summer. but its nice to see you got to get away at least for a little while. its so nice to have a mini vacation! I miss you and love the pics on your blog :) keep up the good work and happy 2 and 1/2 year anniversary!!!
