Nutrition

I have the best Nutrition group. We have a lot of fun together and make some pretty embarrassing comments in front of our 4th graders. We've been meeting with our class for 2 semesters now, teaching them about nutrition and making snacks for them every Thursday.

Some of our inside joke/one-liners that you won't get but I'm documented for my memory are: "African American hangman" by Jason in regards to our African American themed lesson and what to do if we run out of time. "The Hawaii story" by me in regards to the relaxing story I tried to tell the students to get their heart rates to resting for cardio lesson and not being able to stop laughing in front of everyone. "Skipping an entire page of a storybook" by Alicia and her thinking the book was stupid because it didn't make sense. "Yeah, we got okar back when we went to Aftrica to get the slaves...uhhh, I mean when we went to Africa to get Africans" by Jake who was having a rough time talking to the kids about slaves. All of these were so funny and not at all racist. Just fell-by-the-wayside comments that are our groups bloopers to be forever remembered.
