PharmD

After 2 1/2 weeks of waiting, thinking I was not getting into CU's School of Pharmacy, I found out Thursday morning that I was ACCEPTED!

I was sitting down to breakfast in front of the computer, reading the news and opening my email that I didn't check from the day before. As I scanned down the new emails one caught my eye. "Acceptance to the University of Colorado School of Pharmacy." I'm sure anyone who read that would have thought, "Cool! I got in!" But I actually thought I didn't get in. I was reading from last years 'Student Doctor Network' forum for CU that everyone found out via a big white envelope in the mail. So by getting an email I thought I was rejected.

As I opened the email and read the first couple of sentences (probably 3 times just to make sure I read it right) I started screaming and jumping with excitement. I scarred Ella who probably thought I was just possessed by an evil spirit.

My first call went to Eric, of course, who had just left for school. Fortunately he answered his phone but couldn't understand me one bit. There was a mixture of celebratory screaming and crying coming from my end, which worried Eric. He thought something happened to Ella- maybe she was hit by a car and I was screaming about it. But after 3 times of repeating myself he finally understood and was soooo happy. He's such a good hubby- he makes me feels so special and celebrates my accomplishments like they were his own.

I then tried calling everyone in my family but no one was answering! I did get in contact with my good friend Jenny who helped me so much in preparing for the interview. She's one of the greatest people I know and I look up to her so much. I love having great friends who make you feel so good. Thanks Jenny!

I then had fun telling my coworkers and now I get to become a Pharmacy Intern!
