Eric and I went up to Keystone today because we thought there would be lots of fresh new powder. We thought that because yesterday we had a mini March snow storm. Eric's school was even canceled. But as we were driving up to the mountain, the snow kept getting thinner and thinner. There was no new snow up in the mountains!
Instead we had windy, frigid, icy conditions. Not to sound like a complainer or anything...
But we had a lot of fun. Here is me video taping Eric:
And the highlight of our day was... seeing a PORCUPINE in the trees!

We were riding up on the chair lift and I was just looking out at the trees when I saw this funky looking creature at the tippity top of a tree?!
Eric is the one who always spots these types of things and so I was pretty pleased that I found this one.
Eric boarded over to the prickly porcupine and snapped some great pictures.

this is where I practically hugged him. I said "Hey you up there" and he said "should I come down and hug you?" I responded, "Naah, you just keep munching on stuff up there and I'll hug you later." And he was cool with that.
Ahh I love that porcupine! Soo cute!
