This past Monday was particularly fun because we just hung out the entire day. We got a lot of errands done, and it was so enjoyable to do them together and have fun with each other while being spontaneous. We went to Circuit City to see if there was anything remaining from the going out of business sale...pretty much nothing, and then went over to stinky PetsMart. We pet the poor cats and are going back there today to see the dogs up for adoption. We want a dog, but with our uncertain future of moving to med school, who knows if we'll be allowed pets in our new place. Unless we buy our next place...
We then went to Honey Baked Ham and had sandwiches. We got information on the housing around RVUCOM and were so elated. We just kept thinking that our futures are about to change drastically come this fall. We are excited that we get to do everything together- that's the cool thing about being married. We love it.
My running shoes are many years old and I've been having problems/injuries (broken 5th metatarsal, joint problems (calcaneous/cuboid) and IT band flare-ups) probably due to my old shoes. So we went to Runner's Corner in Orem and hooked me up with a new pair of Saucony Guides. I'll vouch for these shoes any day. Saucony is simply the way to go. I also donated my old shoes to Runner's Corner for the donation of shoes they're gathering. All the old running shoes they collect will go to Ghana or Kenya for people who are less fortunate than us. I was so happy and willing to give at least my shoes away. Sometimes I know we all wish we could do much more, afterall we are all so fortunate.
Eric then went to do his anatomy tutoring while I cleaned up the house. Eric feels so blessed to be apart of other people's success. He was an anatomy TA for 5 semesters (that's how we met- he was my Anatomy TA) so he knows his stuff. Now he can tutor others and bring in some hard earned money for it.
We then went on a 4 mile run up Provo Canyon. Beautiful!! The weather is finally warming up, which makes all the difference in the world. We're training for the SLC marathon, but who knows if we'll actually make it. We're trying but it's harder than we expected.
We had our friends, Bruce and Jackie over for FHE and a game of Blokus. It was fun and I finally got to eat the brownies and ice cream I've been craving for about a week.
Life is good. We have good friends, awesome family and so much love.
